frigidaire refrigerator

I want everyone I can contact to know how HHgreg and frigidaire does not stand behind their products. We bought a new side by side 6 months ago. Over Christmas we went on vacation and a relay went out, it was defective and all our food spoiled, over $300 in meat. The smell is terrible and we have cleaned it, with baking soda, charcoal and stuffed with newspaper. The refrigerator is ruined, even their service provider said the smell will never come out, and they have declined to replace it. I will make sure the word gets out about this. In our market today, people listen to friends about what products don't work and I am going to be sure they know about this.

Totally agree with you! My mother purchased a FRIGADAIRE side by side refrigerator from HHGregg a year and a half ago - not only was it making loud noises after the service men installed it into her kitchen - we always wondered why we were hearing strange loud noises coming from the kitchen here it was the fridge making noises.. very noisy and for her to find out it just randomly stopped working while she was at work for the day! The fridge completely quit cooling and now all her food is completely ruined! Paid a $1,000 for HHGregg to tell her there isn't anything they can do for her she needs to call Frigidaire.. called Frigidaire only for their phone number to be disconnected! Tried other numbers to reach their customer support and no one is helping her! So I went above and beyond to do some research of my own and found that Frigidaire was bought out by a Swedish company that owns the brand now so we are currently contacting them about this issue.. she had warranty and everything what's the point in purchasing and paying for something that is suppose to be a good product if it's just going to break! I can't preach this enough everyone who reads this - PLEASE CHECK AROUND FOR REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING A PRODUCT! THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF WEBSITES WHERE ACTUAL CUSTOMERS WHO BUY A PRODUCT POST ABOUT THE PROS AND CONS OF THAT CERTAIN PRODUCT! What's even "funnier" is that HHGREGGs reviews on Frigidaire fridges are horrible! Most of the reviews are about how bad the product is and most say "I WOULD NOT recommend this product to a friend" I guess we are going to have to pay out of pocket to get ours fixed but, the sad part is that my mom use to work for HHGREGG and she is going to make sure everyone out there knows how horrible their products really are! There is a reason why it is a little cheaper than other places! HHGREGG gets most of their parts/products from China, Canada, and Japan. Electrolux is the company who owns Frigidaire and Electrolux is not only a foreign company but all the products Frigidaire makes is by using cheaper parts on the inside and making the outside look great! Their service men will even tell you that they are cheaply made and will recommend MAYTAG AND WHIRLPOOL brands instead! Hope this helps! I wish my mom would have had help before purchasing something that was a waste of her money!
