HHGreg extended warranty on my sony TV - Sony 55 inch Bravia

I bought a sony 55 inch Bravia 3years ago almost to the date today. A little over 2 months ago the tv stopped working. It had power but would not turn on. I called their customer advice number and was directed to the warranty company. So far so good. They told me a service company would be in touch with me the next day. A week later I received a phone call to set up a appointment to look at it. They did not have any available time slots for over another week. Once the service company finally arrives ( not in the 4 hour time slot I was told) they had no idea what the error code was that my tv was registering. The repairman was on the phone calling his peers to try and figure it out this dilemma. No one seemed to be able to decode this particular error message. He said they would try and order some parts for it to see if these parts would fix the issue. He said after he got approval to order the parts from the warranty company, it would take about 7 days to get them in. The repair company called me back 2 weeks later to schedule another appointment to install the questionable fix. Again they did not have any time slots available for over a week. Once they came out and installed the parts... Surprise!! The tv still did not work. The repairman told me the screen would have to be replaced and he would put in for the repair. He said that he doubts the repair would be approved because the cost of the screen would be more than the replacement cost of the television. He proceeded to tell me that it usually takes 5 days to process the repair order. That was 2 weeks ago. I called the warranty company today and they told me that it was more or less lost because it was put in for automatic approval and they don't do automatic approval. I don't care about this. I just want a company to honor their warranty and fix my tv in a timely fashion. In no way is this a timely fashion!!!
