32" TV Sale Bombed out! - Sale item didn't exist

After seeing a sale in the local paper for a Curtis 32" LCD HDTV I went to the hhgregg on capital blvd Raleigh, NC.

3rd time in store, 1st purchase and as expected I get attacked by the car salesman type vultures waiting for there prey to walk in. 1st day of the sale they tell me they do not have it in stock (hmm) and then proceed to try and sell me a higher priced model (of caurse) and they inform me that the sale item won't be here for a month. So I say fine, I'll wait then. So 3 weeks later they call the wrong number (I gave them 2) and tell me they can't get the TV THEY ADVERTISED! and now I have to settle for a lesser model which just happens to be there main brand. (imagine that)

Like most reviews in here I recieved no appology and was told that I could have my money back and walk, so after setting up my system cables, tv stand, dvd player, computer and all the cables for the past 3 weeks I now have to walk out empty handed and begin hunting for another set.

This was my 1st and last experience with hhgregg. I normaly would not go to this extent to complain, but after finding this site and seeing all the negative reviews I just had to help it along. hhgregg should be shut down and I feel that it will happen soon enough.
After walking in the store on 3 occations now and see the store empty of shoppers and full of salesman it's only a matter of time.

Thanks to measured up for your services. I'll be back.

Curtis TV's are junk. Bought 13 incher yesterday and that piece of garbage. It can't be viewed unless you are above the tv. While sitting in my bed I cannot see the picture. Instead it appears to be very dark and you can only see the outline of the image on the tv. There is no real adjustment on the built in stand. I will promptly returning this before the 14 day period is up. Glad I didn't waste the money on the warranty. HHgregg why would you sell such an inferior product? Do you care how your customers perceive your products?

My husband and I walked into hhgregg for the first time this past Friday, looking for a 60" LG plasma tv. The store had the television "on sale" for $2169.00. After the salesman talking our ears off and stalking us for over an hour, we decided that we would go home and do our own research on this particular model of television. As we were about to walk out the store, the salesman practically tackled us and said that the manager, Jason, would let it go for $1500.00, but only if we took it home that night. Now that's quite a reduction in the sales price that was originally $2,169.00. We still decided to walk out the store and do our research. Well, Monday night (3 days later), we decided to return to the store to purchase the television for $1500.00. When we got to the store, the sticker price was already $200.00 less than the previous price of $2,169.00. The salesman that we dealt with before was not there. So, we mentioned to the person that was helping us this time that we were in on Friday and that the manager, Jason said he would sell us the television for $1500.00. Well, Jason apparently had "no recollection" of ever telling us this and said that the best price he would sell it for now was $1,769.00. When we spoke with him directly he managed to remember us from three days ago. His answer: "Well, the television has cost us more than it did three days ago" and claimed that his cost was $1,614.00. Now, I found it amazing that even though the television was in stock, it suddenly cost them more three days later. Needless to say, we walked. Looking back in hindsight, I have no doubt that if we had said that we would have taken it for $1500.00 on Friday night, they would have come back with some bs excuse, and the price would have been higher. We will not step foot in that store again. I have no doubt that the life span of this store will be short lived.

Your complaining about not getting a Curtis? Wow, it's only the cheapest TV made. It's the lowest brand they sell. Every store has one. Wal mart has RCA, Best Buy has Insigma and so on. If you wanted to purchase a Curtis than you would have had it that following Monday, Wed, or Fri. Being cheap you most likely didn't want to pay for it and then pick it up the following day so you wanted to wait for them to get one in the store. The only way to have one sent to the store for pick up is to pay for it. And big deal if they didn't call you back for a cheap tv to come in stock. Quit being a jew and pay the extra $50 for a better tv, better picture, and better quality.
