  • HHGregg Do not stand behind no lemon policy in extended warranty

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in Oct. 2013 and started having problems in Feb 2014. We have had it serviced for the same problem 4 times with the 5th time going to be on 11/20/2014. Their No Lemon Guarantee states "If we can't fix it, we'll replace it. If your covered product requires more than 3 repairs for the same problem, or if the product is deemed uneconomical to repair, then we'll replace it." They refuse to replace it. we paid over $2100 for this refrigerator and $249.99 for the 5yr extended warranty that they will not honor. Needless to say I will... More...

  • HH GREGGs

I purchased a 60 in tv and it states on the paperwork that they will set in place hook up one cable box and one device etc. This service was billed and stated on my extended warranty and the delivery guys refused to do it. It has been a week and 3 different people have posed as the STORE MANAGER in order to assist me in person...This is very poor business and why I don't like using dept stores. Hopefully the corporate office cares enough about their online reputation to resolve this More...

  • HHGreg extended warranty on my sony TV

I bought a sony 55 inch Bravia 3years ago almost to the date today. A little over 2 months ago the tv stopped working. It had power but would not turn on. I called their customer advice number and was directed to the warranty company. So far so good. They told me a service company would be in touch with me the next day. A week later I received a phone call to set up a appointment to look at it. They did not have any available time slots for over another week. Once the service company finally arrives ( not in the 4 hour time slot I was told) they had no idea what the error code was that... More...

  • Misleading/False Advertising

if you have a H.H.Gregg appliance store in your area PLEASE be aware of their MISLEADING and very possibly FALSE advertising practices EXAMPLE: I purchased a washer and dryer pair from them Sunday for my youngest daughter for $599.99(remember this amount) which was on sale on page 3 of their weekly ad, they also advertised 6,12 or 24mo no interest if you used your H.H.Gregg charge card, and in my case $50 gift card and extra 5% off if you spent more than $497.99 which I did, they refused to Honor the 5% saying either the washer or dryer had to be above $497.99...... • HHGregg Premium Service Plan Misleading

Purchased an Onkyo receiver 3 years ago along with the 5 Yr Premium Service Plan. Receiver sound went bad and initiated claim with Warrantech (Administrator of the plan) for instructions for repair. 3 days later they called and told me to contact the repair company and ship the unit to them for an estimate/repair. I requested a "Pre-Paid Shipping" label as stated in the sales brochure. Was told they do not provide shipping to the repair facility and refer to the "Terms and Conditions" of the contract. Contacted HHGregg Corporate and received the run-around for a week... More...

  • HHGregg Beyond Disappointed with Laptop

My wife and I went to HHGregg for the first time in our lives and were initially very pleased with the experience. After the salesman helped us choose a laptop, he also sold us a Microsoft Office key, a rocker/recliner, and a store credit card. My wife and I left the store that day with the intention of becoming life long customers. Unfortunately, when the laptop arrived, it was awful. Fresh out of the box, the keyboard was unresponsive, the touchpad mouse frequently freezes, the computer is slower than the cheap laptop I bought six years ago, and the Microsoft Key didn't work... • Horrible HHGregg Warranty- Don't Buy!

I purchased an LG Dryer with a 5 year extended warranty. I called for service and two days later a service company called for the repair. The company they picked is based in Plantation, FL and they said they would have to service the day they said in the time alloted they have (3 hours) with no flexibility what so ever as they come to Miami, Fl (20 miles) just once a week! So I have to miss work because the alloted time is mid day (12-3) They better fix it that day! Very poor service. Will not buy anything from them again never mind a warranty for a couple hundred dollars. More...

  • Improper installation

Bought Samsung 65 inch TV and had hhgregg delivered and installed the tv. Now, I am unable to get the pedestal off of TV because of hhgregg messing up the install. I was asked to take the TV to the store where I bought it from and they said, they cannot fix it and that Samsung will have to fix it. Samsung tells me that since hhgregg installed it, they need to take care of removing the pedestal. I want hhgregg to take the responsibility of cross threading the screws and have their tech support/installation to address this issue. More...

  • Selling HIGHLY FLAMMABLE furniture

We purchased the furniture and left the tags on them. We did this because we wanted to be sure we were keeping it. When we went to take them off, we read them. It said, WARNING! FLAMMABLE! Not did it go on to say it is highly flammable, but will give off toxic gas. I contacted HHGregg immediately. They said, unfortunately, we were out of the 30 return policy. We have 3 small kids and furniture that tells us to make sure our smoke detectors are in proper working order. The tags have more warnings than care and instructions. More...

  • 2 months later still don't have what I paid for...

Bought a complete Electrolux kitchen suite as well as new Samsung Washer and Dryer from Murfreesboro HH Gregg in Jan. They were great to deal with until the first delivery attempt. It took 3 initial attempts to get the first set of appliances in. Unfortunately, the stove and fridge were both damaged. Next delivery got a good stove but had to go through 4 more fridges to get one not damaged. When we finally moved in the washer wouldn't work on first attempt. • Pensacola Fl store

Yesterday my husband and I went to HHGregg to settle an insurance claim on a laptop we purchased for our son a few years prior. We bought the extended warranty that the HHGregg salesman suggested we get when we purchased the computer. Long story short between the salesman and the warranty agency we were extremely misguided on exactly what the $400 extended warranty covered. And we were infuriated with HHGregg as well as the warranty agency. We were about to take our money and leave and NEVER EVER deal with HHGregg again when 2 employees by the names of Joshua Barnhill and Jonathon came over... More...

Last Friday we purchased a new LED TV and stand from HH Gregg in Indianapolis, IN. The salesperson advised us that we could not have it delivered for set up until today 2/5/14. The salesperson was suppose to have the old TV and stand picked up at the time of the new deliery and installation. Only the set up technicians arrived (we were only given 20 minutes warning) to be ready after a 10-12 inch snow fall last night so of course the court, drive way and sidewalk were not in very good condition. I have owned this refrigerator since 2012 on august 29th. A few months ago the compressor went out and I called to schedule service. I bought the 5yr extended warranty. They scheduled the service for three weeks out then when the guy came of course he had to order parts so it was another 3 weeks to fix it. Then finally I had a working refrigerator again. Also, for a couple of months now I've been looking at and comparison pricing upright steam vacs. It was totally unacceptable to keep us waiting 4-1/2 hours, at the store, while the manager supposedly tried to fix our bill. If the sales person and the manager had communicated better to each other and to us, all of this could have been avoided. I BOUGHT A RECLINER IN OCT 2013 IN THE SPRING OF 2014 I BEGAN TO NOTICE TINY FLAKES OF BLACK MATERIAL ON MY CLOTHING AND MY BODY.
THE MYSTERY WAS SOLVED WHEN I JUST WIPED MY HAND OVER THE COVERING AND FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE FLAKES WAS THE UPHOLSTERY ITSELF DISINTAGRADEING . UPON FURTHER INSPECTION I FOUND THE "LEATHER" WAS SEPERATEING AND PEALING FROM THE BLANKET OF MATERIAL IT WAS ATTACHED TO.
THEY SENT A TRADESMAN TO INSPECT THE MATERIAL AND AFTER HIS REPORT MIRROWED MINE THEY OFFERED TO RECOVER THE RECLINER WITH THE SAME MATERIAL THAT HAD FAILED. I ASKED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE MATERIAL FAILED AGAIN, THEIR ANSWER , IF I GET IT REPLACED I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.
NO ONE EVER RELATED TO ME THAT THERE WAS A DANGER THAT THIS MATERIAL WOULD FAIL, I UNDERSTAND THAT THINGS HAVE A CERTAN LIFE TIME BASED SOMEWHAT ON THERE USE BUT FOR THIS TO FAIL WITH NOT MUCH USE AT ALL,
IS NOT SOMETHING ANYONE WOULD EXPECT WITHOUT BEING WARNED.
I AM NOT AN UNREASONABLE MAN , BUT I AM FEELING AS IF I HAVE JUST BEEN MUGGED!
I WILL NEVER BUY NOR RECOMEND ANYONE TO DDEAL WITH SUCH AN UNRELIABLE BUSINESS AS YOUR'S

We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer with a warranty. Our washer stopped working four days ago and we called the service center for repair. We live in a major metropolitan area of the country and they are unable to locate any repairman to service our washer. This means to me that I bouight a five year service policy which is not serviced in my area and thus was worthless from the very begining and should never have been sold to us. I am very unhappy with this company and will never deal with them in the future. Word to the wise, do not purchase service agreements with hhgreg!

WE went in to hh greg on black friday to look at a fridge. The salesman was well informed
about the product. My first question was can we get the sale price if we do not buy today?
the salesman gave we his name and phone number and said he would take care of the
price when we made purchase. We called on Monday morning to make the buy and were
told salesman was off. We called again on Tuesday and were told the salesman was off. We called on wednesday and were told the salesman would we in after 1:30. I went to the store to make purchase and he told me the product would cost 400.00 more. After
reminding him of his offer to match the sale price he said that he could not.
So I made the purchase and the real problems started. told the salesman that we had
a large builtin subzero that had to be removed. He said that it would take 2 delivery
crews and he would have to charge 240.00. On the day of delivery only 1 crew showed up. They took one look at the old fridge and got in the truck and left. I called the store
and of course the salesman was not there. I talked with the manager who told me it
was a problem with their delivery people. He said he wouldcall back. After 1 1/2 hours
I called him back and he told me that he was still on hold with his delivery people.
I got the phone number of the delivery people and called them. About an hour later the truck and 2 delivery people came back. They removed the old unit and got it out of the
house . At this point another truck with 2 more people showed up. The old fridge was
out of the house and the new one was in but not hooked up. At that point the first crew
left and the 2nd crew hookup the water and power. HH GREG charged me 240.00 for
this. If this is a "FAMILY" company they should get their act together.

I purchased a GE dishwasher from hhgregg just over a year ago. after about 4 months it stopped draining water so I called for a service call. When the service was scheduled the guy called me and said he was in the neighborhood and should be there in 30 minutes. He never showed, That was a half a day off work. The following week we got it rescheduled, the guy came out and said he had to kill the power to the dishwasher, so he killed the power to the whole house. He could not figure out how to turn it back on, so we had to call an electrician to turn it on. $150.00 and another half a day off work. Another service technician finally came out and got the dishwasher to work, another half a day off work. about 3 or 4 months later the dishwasher stopped pumping the water out again. A service technician came out and said he had to order a part, another half day off work. The technician got the part and fixed the dishwasher, another half day off work. About a week before Thanksgiving, the dishwasher stopped pumping water out and hhgregg was called. They informed us that GE was now responsible for the repair of the dishwasher. The GE technician was contacted and a service call was schedule for the day before thanksgiving, another half day off work. The technician called the house 30 minutes before his scheduled arrival time and stated that he had priority calls and was not going to respond. We have informed GE and hhgregg that they now need to either replace the dishwasher or refund our money. They have refused to do either and said they had to send another technician to see what the problem was. With all the time taken off from work and pay lost we could have bought another dishwasher. I informed hhgregg that I would picket their store until they replaced the dishwasher, they said go ahead. Last Sunday i spent 4 hours outside the Mall of Georgia Store with a sign that read, " I was ripped off by hhgregg". I intend to be back this weekend with the same sign.

I bought the Mitsubishi 65 inch DLP from HHGREG in 2007. I thought this would be a very nice tv for my family room. The first tv they delivered in the box did not work so they returned it to the store and brought a diferent one out. That shoulda been my red flag. 3 days later they brought different tv out. Less than a year I replaced the bulb. HHgreg sent a company out to add a air flow sensor out for the defective tv. Since then I replaced the bulb 6 times. THIS BRAND TV SUCKS!!!

I have the most horrified expirience shopping at HHGreg. I could write book about it. To make it short just a one exmaple: I have to exchange my oven and they mistakenly charged me extra $199 for Extended Warranty plan (PSP). When I asked to put credit back on my HHGreg card, they told that they can do it only when oven arrives and they get invoice. After my oven has been delivered I called manager to ask to out credit $199 on HHgreg card. Manager was vey bisy talking to me. Then girl called e and told me that since they did not have an information on my HHGreg card she issued check and I will recieve my money back in a 10 business days. I do not knwo whether I get my check back or not yet. This is only one small example.
I would recommend no one no one shop at HHgreg. There are a lot of other places which do much better job.

Warning. Was scammed at hhgregg store by employee. I entered the store after reading that they had 24 month interest free financing on purchases over 397. After talking to the sale person I was informed to get the 24 months on tv's you had to spend 999 or more. So I did. Then I get a my statement from the CC company and they say 24 months on all purchases 397 or more. Long story short I call the hhgregg store where i purchased the products and that is correct 397 or more on ALL STORE ITEMS. I am returning both tv's tomorrow because they only wanted to give 50 dollars of my 1500 dollar bill for their employees mistake. Employees work of commision so it doesn't surprise me some will tell customers different things to get more money in their pockets. Please watch if using there financing.

I personally went in to try and purchase a washer and dryer. After telling me they would be able to have the pair delivered to me the next day, I filled out a finance form to purchase the product. They then informed me that they do not know when they would be able to deliver the products. No estimate whatsoever. They then completed a credit card in my name WITHOUT my permission. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and filled fraud on my credit. I cannot believe that they would do this. They wouldn't even give me my personal information back. I suggest no one go to this store! They have caused me such a hassle...‎
